Has anyone heard of a Judge Peter McIntosh who served with the Dragoons in Yorktown Virginia? I recently received a copy of an original document that is about a Peter McIntosh. The Peter I am related to was born in Scotland,m. Margaret Turner;went to VA. and NC. His children mostly ended up in Breathitt Co. Ky. I am related through his son Samuel m. Mary Polly Deweese; William "Banger Bill" m. Mary Jane Harris; Leander m. Polly

Hello, I don,t know if the Peter was a judge or not,but the one i have is this.Peter McIntosh b.abt 1755 in Scotland.He married Margaret Tuner 1783 in Wilkesboro,Wilkes, North Carolina. Children,
1.William b1790
2.Samuel b.abt 1787
3.JOHN NO B.
4.James b.1795 in Russell co.Va.my ggg.grandfather
5.Tabitha b.1796 in Va.
6.Margaret b.1799 in Va.
7.Nimrod b.abt 1801 in Russell co Va.
They did go to KY. My ggg.grandfather married Katherine Fugate Sept.10 1813 in Clay co Ky.
I WONDER IF HE WAS MARRIED MORE THAN ONCE. I see a Peter Deweese McIntosh, every thing else the same.A mastake maybe.May be more childern down the line.

The Peter I have was born in Scotland 1755.he married Margaret Turner b.1760 in NC.they had 7 children,one was James,my ggggrandfarher. My gggrandfather was Nimrod,my ggrandfather was John,my grandfather was a Nimrod,my father was Herbert.I do know they all had lots of kids some had Peters so you would start at the bottom and work up.If you find the grandfather it will tell who his father was and on.I will keep this and if i see any connection i will let you know. Who is the Peter McIntosh who was discharged from the RW service where he had entlisted in the Dragoons, Virginia and served faithfully in the first partisan legion. Discharge signed by unreadable name Brig Gen in 1783. Back of doc says Copy of discharge Judge McIntosh. My GUESS is that the copy was for a pension He died in NC?. Do you have any comments? I am trying to verify information on Peter McIntosh, who came to the US from Glasgow in the 1760's aboard the ship Monimia. Peter was supposedly born in Glasgow in 1746. When he got to the US he married Margaret Turner in 1783 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Anyone with any information regarding Peter's ancestors, or verification of this info, would be greatly appreciated. He was married to Margaret TURNER in 1783 in Wilkesboro, wilkes, North Carolina.
