I started with an engie I was told to havea fresh top end which was absolutely correct. However, knowing the bike had been sitting for an undetermined period of time, with an unknown history, I thought it would be worthwhile to:
check the bottom end
Inspect the overall condition
install all new seals and gaskets
As I was told the topend was fresh (and had not been started) with what appears to be good clearances
Everything on this side came off nicely
Simple $0 solution for a flywheel holding tool
Clutch and a John Deere size flywheel. I was impressed with the quality of design, materials and workmanship
Compared to the Japanese two-strokes of the time, the shape of the case around the transfer area seems a bit primitive.
