By comparing this data with the 1820 census(below), and previous censuses, and using known relationships from bible, probate records and research, it is hoped some of the more difficult connections can be made.

The Van Burkleo group data has been reconstructed from known information and research. John Burkaloe(c1787-1848) is a single man known to be here from tax rolls. Daniel VanBurkalow of Hamilton Co.,OH was named in a probate record of Jabez Bruen, the father of Daniel's deceased wife, Elizabeth. Ohio's first census was lost.

The Missouri Van Burkleo group's residence is based on tax rolls and their data has been reconstructed from family records and research. Samuel Van Burkleo(1789-p1860) is the same who moved to Adams Co.,IL. Daniel Van Burkleo(c1779-1838) settled in Hancock Co.,IL. Both Samuel and Daniel were enumerated in the 1830 census.
John Burkelow should be here, based on tax records and his marriage to Elizabeth Hall in Oct.1819. If he is enumerated with William, his assumed father, the absence of a female of at least 16 yrs. would suggest his wife is already dead.
